Wim van den Dungen
Wim van den Dungen (11 May 1944 – February 2025) was a Dutch footballer.
Van den Dungen stated playing football with Rood-Wit '67.[1] In 1965 he played for SV Budel. From 1966 he played with PSV. Van den Dungen was a striker, but moved during his time at PSV from midfield to right back. He played eight seasons for PSV, and won the KNVB Cup in 1974. He played a total of 247 matches for the club and scored 17 times. In the European Cup, Van den Dungen played 17 matches in which he scored twice. He scored one of these goals in 1971 in the semi-final of the European Cup 2, scoring the 1-1 against Real Madrid. Van den Dungen remained semi-professional his entire career and moved to the Belgian KFC Diest in 1974.[2][3][4]
Van den Dungen died in February 2025 at the age of 80.[2]
