Recent Milestones
In 2024, WSF celebrated its 50th anniversary, marking five decades of advocacy and support for women in sports. The foundation has raised over $100 million since its inception, funding programs, research, and advocacy efforts. The anniversary was commemorated with events honoring significant contributors to women's sports, including the 1999 U.S. Women's World Cup team and the 2024 WNBA rookie class.[3]
Billie Jean King emphasized the ongoing need for progress, particularly in increasing female representation in coaching and leadership roles within sports organizations.
