You're So Vain

"You're So Vain" is a 1972 pop ballad. The song was written and performed by Carly Simon.

This song is about an arrogant (or unkind) man. Some people wondered who was so vain? She told later in the newspaper that the person’s name contains the letter E.[1] This song is also well-known that Mick Jagger joined and sang backup on the record. Simon also played the piano in the record.[2] It was released in November 1972.[3]
