Zavala County is a county in the U.S. state of Texas. It was founded in 1858.[2] It was named for Lorenzo de Zavala, who was the first vice president of the Republic of Texas.
As of 2020, 9,670 people lived there.[1] Its county seat is Crystal City. The county has a total area of 1,302 square miles (3,370 square kilometers).
