Donny & Marie version
In 1976, Donny Osmond and Marie Osmond released a cover version of Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing for their 1976 album New Season. It went to number 21 in the United States and number 26 in Canada. Aretha Franklin released a version of the song in 1974 and won a Grammy Award. Elton John covered it for his album Duets.
