Anandiben Patel (born 21 November 1941)[1] is an Indian politician who has been the Governor of Uttar Pradesh since 2019. She was the former Chief Minister of Gujarat. She was the first female chief minister of the state.[2] She was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) since 1987. She was the Cabinet Minister for Education from 2002 to 2007.

In 19 January 2018, she became the Governor of Madhya Pradesh replacing Om Prakash Kohli who was holding additional charge since September 2016.[3]

In July 2020, she became Governor of Madhya Pradesh again.
