The Arab Bank was founded by Abdel Hamid Shoman in Jerusalem, Palestine in 1930. It started with seven shareholders with a value of 15,000 Palestinian pounds, and after more than 70 years, the bank became a global institution, with assets amounting to 27.31 billion dollars in 2005. Net profits amounted to $618 million for the first nine months of 2016.
