Breakaway (Speedy Singhs in India) is an Canadian sports-comedy movie. It was released in theatres on 23 September 2011.[1] It was directed by Robert Lieberman and produced by Akshay Kumar, Paul Gross, and Ajay Virmani.[2]
In the movie, Rajveer Singh drops out of college and spends his time with friends playing ice hockey. His father disapproves of his hockey dreams and wants him to work for his trucking company but Rajveer continue to play with his friends in secret before they start a team called the Speedy Singhs and get recruited by a coach. the team then beats their rivals, the Hammerheads, and win the tournament.[3]

Reception
The movie received negative reviews from critics. It holds a 20% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.[4] The movie was unsuccessful at the box office.[5]
