Cardiotocography (CTG) is a way (technique) to follow or monitor the fetal heartbeat and uterine contractions. This is useful in women's health such as during pregnancy and labour. The machine that is used for that is called a 'cardiotocograph.

Origin of word: It comes "from the Greek words kardia meaning heart and tokos meaning labor and childbirth", according to media.[1]
