Commercial Drive, Vancouver
Commercial Drive is a street in Vancouver. It runs from Powell Street in the north end to Victoria Diversion in the south end. It is 3.4 km long.[1]
The Commercial–Broadway station is located on Commercial Drive. It features both the Expo and Millennium Line lines of the SkyTrain. It is one of the busiest stations for the SkyTrain.[2]
Commercial Drive hosts many different festivals events including the lesbian protest Dyke March, the Parade of Lost Souls during Halloween, and Car Free Day Vancouver.[3][4][5]
Around 1967, local newspapers began to call the northern part Little Italy because of increase of Italian immigrants which grew after World War II.[6]
