Field, British Columbia

Field, British Columbia is an unincorporated town with about 169 people located in the Kicking Horse River valley of British Columbia, Canada in Yoho National Park. It is about 1,256 m (4,121 ft) in elevation. It is around 27 km (17 mi) west of Lake Louise on the Trans-Canada Highway, which is the only road to the town. It is named after Cyrus West Field of Transatlantic telegraph cable fame, who explored the area in 1884.[1]
