Franz Golobic (born 7 April 1922 in Vienna; † 20 July 2010) was an Austrian football player. He played as midfielder mainly for SK Rapid Wien. He also played three matches for the Austrian national football team.
Career
Golobic started his senior career with FC Wien. After the end of the Second World War he played till 1946 for this club. In 1946 he went to SK Rapid Wien. During his time with the club, he played 249 league games in which he scored nine goals.
International
1953 Golobic played three international matches for the national team. He made his debut as a national player on 11 October 1953 [1] in the Vienna Prater Stadium in the 2-3 defeat in a friendly against the Hungarian national team. He played his last two international matches in World Cup qualifying group 5 against the Portuguese national team.
