Fusa Tatsumi

Fusa Tatsumi (巽フサ, Tatsumi, Fusa, April, 25 1907 – December 12, 2023) was a Japanese supercentenarian. At aged 116 years, 231 days, she was Japan's oldest living person following the death of Kane Tanaka on April 19, 2022.[1][2]

She was born in Yao, Osaka Prefecture, Empire of Japan on April 25, 1907.[1] She moved into the Hakuto nursing home in Kashiwara, Osaka Prefecture, Japan in 2013.

At the age of 110 in 2017, she was still able to do her makeup.[3] She then became bedridden and could not speak as much in her nursing home in 2017 at the age of 110.[4][5]

She died on December 12, 2023 at 9:25 AM from respiratory failure in Kashiwara, Japan at the age of 116.[6]
