James II (16 October 1430 - 3 August 1460) was King of Scotland from 1437 to 1460. He was born in Holyrood Palace, Edinburgh. He inherited the Scottish throne after the of his father James I on 21 February 1437, aged only 6 and was crowned king of Scotland on 25 March 1437 at Holyrood Palace where he was born.
