José Lago Millán (born 1893, date of death unknown) was a Spanish football manager. He was the first foreign manager to coach Argentina.[1]
Career
Born in Spain, Lago Millán moved to Argentina when he was 13.[2] In 1927, he became the manager of the Argentina national team, where he would win the 1927 South American Championship. He also won a silver medal at the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam.[3][4]
In 1932, he would briefly become the manager of Boca Juniors.[5] He would later become the assistant manager of Argentina under Manuel Seoane.
