History
The name was first mentioned in documents in 1332, as Corardi, Cunradi, Conradi, or Corradi. It likely comes from Arkai Corladus, who appeared in records in 1267. The settlement was already listed in the papal tax register that year, meaning it had a church then. The first known owners were the Lánczi family. The Turks destroyed it in 1640, and it stayed empty for nearly a century, being repopulated in the mid-1700s.
