Arka

Arka is a village in Gönc District in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County, Hungary. In 2024, 51 people lived there.

Location

The village is located 55 kilometers northeast of the county seat, Miskolc, by road. The nearest neighboring settlement is Boldogkőváralja, which lies 3 kilometers southwest of the village center. Other bordering settlements include Korlát to the north, Fony to the northeast, Baskó to the southeast, Hernádcéce to the west, and Vizsoly to the northwest. The nearest towns are Abaújszántó to the south and Encs to the west, both approximately 12-13 kilometers away.

Population

In 2022, 84.5% of people said they were Hungarian (15.5% did not say). For religion, 51.7% were Roman Catholic, 10.3% Reformed, 1.7% Greek Catholic, 5.2% non-denominational (31% did not answer).[1]
