"Number 9 Dream" is a 1974 song by John Lennon. It was taken from his fifth studio album Walls and Bridges. It went to number 9 in the United States, number 23 in the United Kingdom and number 35 in Canada. It is softer than his previous single Whatever Gets You Thru the Night. It was covered by R.E.M. in 2007.
