The Ancash water frog (Telmatobius carrillae) is a frog. It lives in Peru.[2][3][1]
Home
This frog lives in streams in puna places and rivers where the water is slow. Scientists saw this frog between 3680 and 4818 meters above sea level.[2][1]
Scientists think the frog might live in Huascarán National Park but they have not written about seeing it there.[1]
Young
The frog has young in streams and rivers. Scientists think this frog has young all year.[1]
People
People catch frogs in Telmatobius to sell and eat.[1]
Danger
Scientists say this frog is in some danger. Bad chemicals from mines can hurt this frog. Scientists think the fungal disease chytridiomycosis could kill the frog, but they have not found the fungus Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis on the frog yet.[1]
