The 2009 UEFA Women's Championship, often known as the 2009 Women's Euros or just the 2009 Euros, happened in Finland between 23 August and 10 September 2009.[1] Finland was chosen on 11 July 2006 as the place for the 2009 Euros, in a UEFA meeting in Berlin, Germany. Finland won, beating the Netherlands.[2] Germany won the championship, beatin England in the final. It was the seventh time Germany won the Euros.[3]
