- February 27: Qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup began. In the first match, Algeria beat South Sudan 5–0 at the Juba Stadium in Juba, South Sudan.

- March 5: The FIFA Women's Champions Cup was created. It is meant to be a women's football version of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup.

- May 17: The 2025 OFC Women's Champions League final was played. Auckland United beat Hekari United 1–0 at the Stade Pater in Pīraʻe, Tahiti.

- The 2025 UEFA Women's Champions League final was played. Arsenal beat FC Barcelona 1–0 at the Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon, Portugal.
- The 2025 AFC Women's Champions League final was played. Wuhan Jianghan University beat Melbourne City 5–4 on penalties at the Wuhan Sports Center Stadium in Wuhan, China. This was Wuhan Jianghan University's first international trophy.
- The 2024–25 CONCACAF W Champions Cup final was played. Gotham FC beat Tigres UANL 1–0 at the Estadio Universitario in Nuevo León, Mexico.
July
- July 17: Arsenal signed Canadian women's footballer Olivia Smith from Liverpool for a fee of £1 million.[1] This makes Smith the most expensive women's football transfer ever.

- August 2: The 2025 Copa América Femenina final was played. Brazil beat Colombia 5–4 on penalties at the Estadio Rodrigo Paz Delgado in Quito, Ecuador.
