Bridgeport station (SkyTrain)

Bridgeport is a train station in Richmond, British Columbia. It is located at 2211 Great Canadian Way. It is owned by Vancouver International Airport and TransLink and is used by the SkyTrain in the Metro Vancouver area for their Canada Line. It splits between the Airport and Richmond branch of the Canada Line.

The station was built in 2009 and opened on August 17. TransLink hired the architecture firm VIA Architecture to build the station.[1] During its planning, the station was named Bridgeport Road, with Richmond Gateway, Richmond North, and River Road also considered as names. It was later changed to its current name.[2]

It is an elevated station with two tracks and a centre platform. It is preceded by Marine Drive towards Waterfront station and splits off into two branches with the Airport branding ending at Templeton towards YVR–Airport and the Richmond branch ending at Capstan towards Richmond–Brighouse. In 2024, it was ranked at #20 of the 54 busiest stations in use for the SkyTrain.[3]

The station serves as a connection for the 311, 351, 352, 354, 403, 407, 412, 430, 601, 602, 603, 604, 620, 900, and N10 TransLink bus services.[4]

Around the station is River Rock Casino Resort and Richmond Night Market.
