Four (stylized in all caps) is the fourth studio album by English-Irish boy band One Direction, released on November 17, 2014, by Columbia Records and Syco Music. It included the singles "Steal My Girl" and "Night Changes," which both went platinum in the US and became the band's tenth and eleventh top-ten hits in the UK. This was the last album to feature Zayn Malik, who left the group in March 2015.
The album received mostly positive reviews from critics. It debuted at number one in 18 countries, including the UK, Australia, and the US. With Four, One Direction became the first group to have their first four albums debut at number one in the US. According to the IFPI, it was the sixth best-selling album of 2014, with 3.2 million copies sold worldwide.[1]
