American Samoa at the Olympics is a history which includes 12 games in 11 countries and 30+ athletes.[1] Since 1988, American Samoa has contributed to the growth of the "Olympic Movement".[2]
The International Olympic Committee's official abbreviation for American Samoa is ASA.[3]
History
The National Olympic Committee for American Samoa was formed in 1987; and it was recognized by the International Olympic Committee the same year.[4]
Teams from American Samoa have take part in Summer Olympic Games. Samoan athletes went to two of the Winter Olympic Games.
