Royal Rumble (2005) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event made by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). It took place on January 30, 2005, at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California. It was the 18th Royal Rumble event held by WWE.

- ↑ Scotty was attacked by Hassan before he made it to the ring, and therefore was unable to compete and never officially entered the match.
- ↑ Angle had been eliminated by Shawn Michaels and then returned to the ring and eliminated Michaels to get revenge.
- ↑ 3.0 3.1 Cena countered Batista's finisher, the Batista Bomb with a headscissors takedown, which sent both men over the top rope and both hit the floor at the same time. After two referees argued about who touched the floor first, WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon came to the ring and ordered the match to be restarted with the final two participants. Batista then eliminated Cena to definitely win the match.
