Anrie Chase ( born March 24, 2004 in Yokosuka, Japan) is a Japanese-American footballer. He plays as defender for the Austrian Bundesliga club FC Red Bull Salzburg. [1]
Career
He played for Nagasawa Junior High School, FC Shonan, and Shoshi High School. Chase moved to VfB Stuttgart for the 2022/23 season. There he played for the second team. [2] The team won the Regionalliga Südwest championship in the 2023/24 season and was promoted to the 3rd league. From the end of the 2023/24 Bundesliga season, Chase was a regular member of the first team.
On matchday 2 of the 2024/25 season, Chase made his third division debut for VfB Stuttgart II on 11 August 2024 against TSV 1860 Munich. On 24 August 2024, he made his debut in the 1. Bundesliga. In August 2025 he moved to Austrian Bundesliga club FC Red Bull Salzburg. [3]
International
Chase played with the Japanese U23 national team at the 2022 U23 Asian Championship, finishing third. He played for the Japanese U20 national team at the 2023 U20 World Championship.
