Christian Zawieschitzky (born May 2, 2007 in Kufstein) is an Austrian football goalkeeper. He plays for FC Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Career

Zawieschitzky began his career at FC Kufstein. In December 2016 he moved to FC Wacker Innsbruck. For the 2020/21 season he moved to the FC Red Bull Salzburg academy. There he then went through all age levels. In October 2023 he was in the squad of FC Liefering for the first time, but he did not play for Liefering in the 2023/24 season.

For the 2024/25 season Zawieschitzky moved up to the Lieferinger squad. [1] He made his debut in the 2nd league in August 2024 when he was in the starting line-up on the first matchday of that season against First Vienna FC. [2] In November 2024 he was in Salzburg's Bundesliga squad for the first time against TSV Hartberg.

Due to Alexander Schlager's injury, he played all three games in goal for Salzburg during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Here he made his debut for the Salzburg professionals against CF Pachuca.

International

Zawieschitzky played for an Austrian youth national team for the first time in April 2022. In 2024 he took part in the European Championships with the U-17 team.
