Gateway is a train station in Surrey, British Columbia. It is located at 13401 108 Avenue. It is owned by TransLink and is used by the SkyTrain in the Metro Vancouver area for their Expo Line.
The station was built in 1994 and opened on March 28. It was first going to be called 108 Avenue but BC Transit decided to officially name the station Gateway.
$6 million was spent by the Intrawest Development Corporation for the construction of the station to include the station into residential and commercial development in the area.[1] It is an elevated station, featuring two tracks and a centre platform. There are two entrances for Gateway station with the elevator-only west entrance for disabled access and the east entrance on 108 Avenue.[2] It is preceded by Scott Road towards Waterfront and ends with Surrey Central towards King George. In 2024, it was ranked at #28 of the 54 busiest stations in use for the SkyTrain.[3]
On July 12, 2025, delays at the station happened after TransLink closed down one side of the tracks for track maintenance and to replace a track switch. It is expected to open again sometime at the end of August.[4]
The station serves as a connection for the 335, 371, and 373 TransLink bus services.[5]
Around the station is the Tom Binnie Park, the training and business facility for the BC Lions, the Whalley Athletic Park, and both the Chuck Bailey recreation centre and skate park.
