The St. Paul Saints are a Minor League Baseball team from Saint Paul, Minnesota.[1] They play baseball at the Triple-A (AAA) level, the most difficult level before Major League Baseball, against other baseball teams in the International League (a group of 20 baseball teams at the same level).[1] The Saints are partnered with the Minnesota Twins, a Major League Baseball team. When a player shows that he plays well at this level, he may be moved up to play for the Twins.
The team started playing baseball in 1993. They were an intependent team—they were not partnered with a Major League Baseball team. They became partners with the Minnesota Twins when they joined the International Leauge in 2021. The team is named "Saints" because they are from the city of Saint Paul.
The Saints played at a stadium called Midway Stadium from 1993 to 2014. In 2015, the Saints began to play at a new stadium called CHS Field.
