The Syracuse Mets are a Minor League Baseball team from Syracuse, New York.[1] They play baseball at the Triple-A (AAA) level, the most difficult level before Major League Baseball, against other baseball teams in the International League (a group of 20 baseball teams at the same level).[1] The Bats are partnered with the New York Mets, a Major League Baseball team. When a player shows that he plays well at this level, he may be moved up to play for the Mets.

The team started playing baseball in 1934 as the Syracuse Chiefs. The team changed their name to the Syracuse SkyChiefs in 1997, back to Chiefs in 2007, and to the Mets in 2019 because of their partnership with the New York Mets.

The Mets have played at a stadium called NBT Bank Stadium since 1997. Before that, they played at a stadium called MacArthur Stadium.
