Royal Oak is a train station in Burnaby, British Columbia. It is located at 5199 Beresford Street. It is owned by TransLink and is used by the SkyTrain in the Metro Vancouver area for their Expo Line.

The station was built in 1985 and opened on December 11. Austrian company Architektengruppe U-Bahn built the station so that people were able to move around on transit during Expo 86.[1] Much of the track and the station was once home to the Central Park Line for the former British Columbia Electric Railway.[2]

It is an elevated station, featuring two tracks and a centre platform. It is preceded by Metrotown towards Waterfront and ends at Edmonds towards either King George or Production Way–University. In 2024, it was ranked at #30 of the 54 busiest stations in use for the SkyTrain.[3]

From Spring 2023 until summer 2024 and from fall 2023 until spring 2024, TransLink upgraded the east side emergency exit staircase and changed how the monitoring system for intrusions on the track were handled.[4]

The station serves as a connection for the 148 TransLink bus service.[5]

Around the station is the Burnaby South Secondary School, Michael J. Fox Theatre, and MacPherson Park, along with MacPherson Park Outdoor Pool.
